MadeReal Guide By MadeReal

Can I See My Website Design Before I Pay?

A practical guide to seeing your business website before committing to the finished build.

Yes. A website preview lets you see the direction of your new business website before you commit to the finished build.

That is useful because a website is difficult to judge from a sales call or a list of features. You need to see whether the design feels right for your business, whether the wording is clear and whether a customer would know what to do next.

MadeReal starts with a free website preview. You send a mobile number or email address and some basic information about your business. We build the first version and send it to you. If you love the direction and want us to finish the website, the complete build is £197 one-off.

If you do not want to continue, there is no website build invoice.

What should a website preview show?

A useful preview should show more than a colour palette or a generic template.

It should help you judge:

  • how your business will be introduced;
  • what customers will see first on mobile;
  • how your services will be explained;
  • where calls and enquiries will come from;
  • how your reviews, photographs and local area can be presented;
  • whether the overall design feels trustworthy.

The preview is not expected to contain every final page, photograph and detail. Its job is to make the direction clear enough for you to make an informed decision.

What information does the designer need?

You do not need to write an enormous brief.

The most useful starting information is:

  • your business name;
  • the services you provide;
  • the towns or areas you cover;
  • your preferred contact details;
  • a Google Business Profile, Facebook page or existing website if you have one;
  • any photographs, reviews or branding you already use.

For local businesses, public information from a Google Business Profile can often provide enough context for the first draft.

What should you check before approving it?

Look at the preview like a customer, not like a designer.

Ask:

  1. Can I understand what this business does within a few seconds?
  2. Does the page feel credible?
  3. Is the main phone or enquiry action obvious?
  4. Does it work clearly on a mobile screen?
  5. Does the writing sound like the real business?
  6. Are the services and locations accurate?

Small design details can be adjusted. The most important question is whether the structure makes the business easier to choose.

Is the finished website free?

No. The preview is free. The finished MadeReal website costs £197 one-off if you approve the preview and ask us to complete it.

That distinction should always be clear. A genuinely useful preview removes the risk of paying for a design you have never seen; it does not mean the completed service has no value or cost.

What happens after approval?

Once you approve the direction, the remaining content, links, contact forms, mobile details and search foundations can be completed. You review the final version before launch.

MadeReal websites include a clear service structure, mobile-first design, enquiry routes and basic local SEO foundations. There is no compulsory MadeReal monthly website fee, and you own the finished site.
