Try an update yourself

MadeReal creates online café menus with editable dishes, categories, prices, photos and dietary labels. Customers open a normal web link. Menu access is £19 per venue per month, with an optional £197 one-off full website add-on.

EVERYDAY MENU CHANGES

Your menu changes.
Your link stays simple.

Breakfast ends, lunch starts and the cake counter changes through the week. A café menu should make those choices easy to browse on a phone. Give everyday favourites clear categories, then keep the changing dishes current from the staff manager.

01

Separate food and drinks clearly

Use practical category names such as Breakfast, Toasties, Lunch, Cakes and Drinks. Keep the structure short enough for someone to scan while deciding whether to pop in. Move a category up when it needs more attention.

02

Keep daily food descriptions accurate

Update soup, quiche or cake details when the selection changes. Add a new item when needed, then hide it when it sells out. You can retain the entry for the next time it is available.

03

Use photos where they help

Add a photo to a dish that benefits from being seen, such as a breakfast or lunch special. Use your own current food photos and descriptions. You can still keep a clean, readable menu without a photo on every item.

04

Make price changes straightforward

Edit the item price directly, then check the guest view. The menu manager and printable A4 version use the same dish information, reducing the need to maintain separate menu documents.

A PRACTICAL START

Build a useful café menu from what you have.

  1. 1

    Start with your existing menu

Send a readable menu photo, a PDF or a link. Include drink sizes, additions and any separate breakfast or lunch menu so the initial structure can be agreed.

  2. 2

    Choose what should stand out

Your everyday food can stay in familiar categories. A daily special or new item can have its own photo, description and place near the top.

  3. 3

Put the link where people look

Use the menu link on your existing website and social profiles. A QR code can open the same menu in the café; a printed copy remains useful at the counter.

Help people browse dietary choices.

Vegetarian and vegan filters can help customers find labelled dishes quickly. Your team must keep those labels and the dish information accurate. Ingredients, substitutions and cross-contact need proper staff checks; a dietary filter is not an allergen guarantee.

REAL MADEREAL WORK

See how real menu sections are presented.

Tubbs is a restaurant and bar project with breakfast and drinks sections; Little Italy shows another approach to categories and food information. They demonstrate existing MadeReal work, rather than being presented as café customers.

QUESTIONS FROM CAFÉS

Before you start.

Tell us about your menu
Do we need a new website to use the online menu?+

No. You can use a menu link on your existing website or social profile. The £197 full website add-on is optional; menu access remains £19 per month.

Can the team add a cake or lunch special themselves?+

Yes. Staff can add a dish with a name, description and price, choose a category and add a photo where useful. The working demo lets you try adding an item.

Can customers use the menu without an app?+

Yes. The guest menu opens in their browser from a normal link or QR code. They do not need to install an app to browse it.

Is this an online ordering or delivery system?+

This offer is for presenting and managing a menu. It does not promise checkout, payment collection, delivery management or a till integration. Tell us about specialist requirements before purchase.
