Try an update yourself

MadeReal designs editable online menus for sandwich shops, butty shops and small food businesses. Staff can update dishes, prices, photos and availability, share one link and print A4 copies. Menu access is £19 per venue per month; a full website is an optional £197 one-off add-on.

EVERYDAY MENU CHANGES

A menu people can read
before the lunch rush.

A customer looking for a sandwich usually wants a quick answer: what is on, what does it cost and which choice suits them? A clear web menu makes that information easier to find than a small photo of a counter menu. The design can feel like your shop: simple, friendly and direct.

01

Give breakfast and lunch their own space

Separate breakfast butties, cold sandwiches, hot food, drinks and meal deals when those are part of your offer. Customers should not need to work through a restaurant-style page just to find a bacon roll.

02

Explain fillings and extras plainly

Put the bread, filling and included extras in the description. If a price varies by size or option, agree a clear way to display it during setup. Do not leave customers guessing what the headline price covers.

03

Keep specials and availability current

Add the day’s soup, a hot sandwich or a lunch deal when you are offering it. Switch an item off if it sells out. Your team can change the menu without waiting for a new menu image to be designed.

04

Keep paper and online information together

Update a price in the manager and preview the guest menu. When the counter needs a new paper copy, use the A4 print layout from the same menu information. Check the print preview before replacing the old copies.

A PRACTICAL START

You do not need to start with a brand project.

  1. 1

    Send your current menu

A readable photo, PDF or existing link gives us a starting point. Include any breakfast prices, extras, minimum orders or collection information that customers need to understand.

  2. 2

    Agree a straightforward design

Use your business name, colours and useful food photos. We agree the initial design with you; the menu does not have to look like a fine-dining restaurant.

  3. 3

    Try the everyday changes

Before launch, check a price change, a sold-out item and the paper layout. These are the tasks staff are most likely to need during an ordinary week.

A menu first. Ordering is a separate requirement.

This is a way to show and maintain your food menu. It does not automatically take orders, collect customer payments or connect to your till. If you already take orders by phone or through another service, explain that during setup so the customer’s next step is clear.

REAL MADEREAL WORK

Different brands. Different menu designs.

Our public examples currently include pubs and restaurants. These real Trawden Arms and Little Italy menus show the range of branding already built. Your sandwich shop would use its own design and food information; we are not presenting these as butty shop customers.

QUESTIONS FROM SANDWICH & BUTTY SHOPS

Before you start.

Tell us about your menu
Is this suitable for a small butty shop?+

Yes. The menu can use a simple shop design, everyday categories and clear prices. Photos are optional. The initial design is agreed around your business rather than forcing you into a restaurant look.

Can we change the price of just one sandwich?+

Yes. Edit that item in the manager and check the customer view. Try changing the first dish’s price in the interactive demonstration to see the result.

What if we already have a Facebook page or website?+

Keep using it. Add your menu link so customers have a clear place to find the current food and prices. A full MadeReal website is optional.

How much is the menu and optional website?+

The menu subscription is £19 per venue per month. A full website add-on is £197 once, alongside the subscription. Website hosting is included while your £19 menu subscription is active. Domain registration and email are separate; we agree the design and scope before purchase.
